Expert Is In: Plants & Color

Drop into the Conservatory's Garden Court for an approachable look at the chemistry behind plant colors. Chemist Dr. Catherine Woytowicz will explain how and why plants produce color and demonstrate how pigments can be extracted from plant material.

Visitors are encouraged to bring questions and talk directly with a plant-science professional. The program is presented with the American Association for the Advancement of Science's Science and Technology Policy Fellowship Alumni Program. No registration is required.
