Brick City Summer Camp for Rising 4th–5th Graders

This five-day LEGO brick design camp challenges rising fourth- and fifth-graders to turn imaginative ideas into working creations. Projects include boats, zip lines, a dream playground, and a secret LEGO brick code, all grounded in engineering and design concepts drawn from the Museum’s exhibitions and the built world.

Typical day

• Early drop-off and free play begin at 8:30 a.m.; camp programming runs from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
• Morning and afternoon STEM projects are separated by an exhibition visit, snack, lunch, recess, and quiet reading or drawing time.
• Extended care offers crafts, blocks, games, reading, snacks, and occasional movies until 5:30 p.m.

Campers must read and write independently. Families should pack a lunch that needs no refrigeration; the Museum supplies a nut-free morning snack and an afternoon snack for extended-care participants. Activities remain onsite, though weather permitting, recess may use the West Lawn. LEGO bricks remain at the Museum, but campers receive a notebook with photographs of their creations. Electronics are not allowed without prior approval.

Each session accommodates up to 20 campers, with two counselors for every 10 children. Full payment is required to register.
