This installment of the museum’s summer family series explores how symbols can help people think about freedom, fairness, and justice. Children can imagine the future, design symbols and stamps, make a flag, follow a scavenger hunt, and encounter Frederick Douglass as part of the day’s exploration.

Wonder Wednesdays combine hands-on artmaking, multisensory activities, imaginative play, and a live performance. The program is designed for varied learning styles and abilities, and a dedicated activity area is available for children younger than four.

Registration is not required. The museum provides free onsite parking, complimentary strollers and wheelchairs, and sensory-friendly bags at the Welcome Desk.
