PirateFest fills the museum and Battleship Wisconsin with living-history pirates, cannon demonstrations, treasure-themed activities, vendors, games and maritime stories. Costumes are encouraged, with a costume contest at 12:15 p.m.
Family highlights
- Little Buccaneers Cove, geared to ages 3–6, with a fort, pirate ship, hats, a plank and buried treasure
- Pirate storytimes at 11 a.m. and 3 p.m.
- Ship-building and make-your-own flags in Pirate Haven
- Cannon battles, shipboard cannon firings and a museum scavenger hunt
- Pirate comedy in the Brock Theater at 3 p.m.
Scally Wag School and the Schooner Virginia sail require separate tickets. All other listed PirateFest programming is included with museum admission.
