Virginia Zoo members can enter an hour before the regular opening on both weekend mornings. The early window offers cooler temperatures, easier parking, and a chance to see animals active around breakfast time.
Entry is available from 8:30–9:30 a.m. each day. A coffee truck will remain in Fountain Plaza until 11 a.m.: Glazed & Infuzed on Saturday and Mello Beans on Sunday. Drinks and food cost extra.
