Handwork at the Hermitage: Second Saturdays & Sundays

The Handwork gallery comes alive with live demonstrations and work by regional makers. This weekend’s featured artist is Erin McCarty of Better than Your Bandana.

The free program complements an exhibition about the carved architecture, furniture, tools, and craft traditions that shaped the Hermitage. Families can watch the artist work and explore the surrounding galleries.

The museum’s ground floor has a wheelchair-accessible entrance, accessible restrooms, and a Braille visitor guide. The second floor requires stairs, with digital gallery materials available at the admissions desk for visitors who cannot go upstairs.
