Campers entering grades 3–5 take a five-day journey through habitats ranging from African savannas to Amazon rainforests. Animal-ambassador encounters, games, hands-on activities, guided zoo tours, and selected behind-the-scenes experiences help children investigate what makes each habitat and its wildlife distinctive.

Campers spend about half the program outdoors in the zoo and half in air-conditioned classrooms. The group is limited to 20 children with two or three adult instructors and one or two approved volunteers, and campers remain supervised throughout the day. Animal ambassadors may be touched under staff direction but cannot be held; other close-up opportunities depend on animal-care and group-safety needs.
