Rhino Behind-the-Scenes Experience

Enter an encounter area that is not part of a regular zoo visit and learn about southern white rhinos Fireball and Yebonga. An educator introduces their individual personalities and explains how staff meet each animal’s care needs. Animal participation is voluntary, so a rhino may choose not to take part.

The 30-minute tour begins promptly. Arrive at the zoo entrance at least 10 minutes early and meet the educator near the peacock statue; late arrivals cannot join once the program has begun. Every participant must be at least 5 years old, and each group must include an adult.
