Sunshine Sunday

Sunshine Sunday offers families a quieter, sensory-friendly museum visit before regular operating hours. Lights and sounds are reduced, the overall environment is calmer, and additional support is available for children with sensory sensitivities and their families.

Sensory and planning support

Guest Services can provide sensory bags, adaptability tools, mobility supports, and access to a quiet sensory room. Families can review the museum’s social stories, sensory guide, and other planning resources before visiting.

The adjacent William F. Poe Garage offers accessible spaces on Levels 1, 2, and 4. Passenger drop-off is available in the Gasparilla Plaza roundabout shared with the Tampa Museum of Art. The museum also provides stroller parking, an infant-feeding room, water-bottle refill stations, and a vending machine stocked with diapers, wipes, clothing, and fidgets.
