Merit Badge Workshop: Environmental Science

A four-hour, counselor-led workshop examining ecosystems, pollution and conservation, with an emphasis on practical ways young people can protect the environment. The session addresses badge requirements 1, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 9 and 10; participants should complete prerequisites 2, 6 and 11 beforehand.

The fee includes hands-on supplies, a digital workbook, a blank Blue Card and same-day museum admission after the workshop. Participants should bring the workbook, a pen or pencil, completed prerequisites and proof of registration; outside snacks are permitted during the short break. Children younger than 13 need a registered adult chaperone, with at least one adult for every ten participants. The registration deadline is August 6, and refunds are available only before that deadline.
