Stargazing at Tower Grove Park

The St. Louis Astronomical Society provides several telescopes for viewing the moon, planets, and stars from the field between Stone Shelter and the West End Picnic Site. Amateur astronomers of all ages may also bring their own equipment.

The site is kept very dark to reduce light pollution, so bring a flashlight for walking. Street parking is available on Northwest and Southwest drives, and restrooms are at the West End Picnic Site. No registration is required. The program depends on clear weather; check the park’s website or social channels for updates.
