At dusk, telescope operators set up several instruments on the planetarium grounds and help visitors observe the night sky. An indoor Monthly Sky Lecture in the Orthwein StarBay Theater explains the month’s visible constellations, planets, meteor showers, and other astronomical events.
If clouds or poor observing conditions prevent telescope use, the indoor sky lecture is still offered.
