Science Center telescope operators offer safe daytime views of the sun outside the McDonnell Planetarium. Families can look through several kinds of solar telescopes and may see sunspots, solar prominences, and other features while learning how astronomers observe the sun safely.
Viewing is weather dependent and can be canceled on short notice.
