Storyteller Bobby Norfolk shares sky lore from cultures around the world before the park’s annual Junior Ranger Night Explorer Workshop. Children ages 4–12 can complete the workshop and earn a special Gateway Arch National Park patch.
The indoor workshop takes place regardless of weather. If skies permit, National Park Service staff and volunteers from the St. Louis Astronomical Society will offer free telescope viewing of the Moon and other celestial objects afterward on the Entrance Plaza. Families can call 314-655-1704 on the afternoon of the event for the telescope-viewing status.
