Family Playdate: Back-to-School Rave

Celebrate the end of summer at a dance party created for young children, elementary-age kids, and their grown-ups. Presented with St. Louis Magazine’s Family Playdates series, the rave features an upbeat, family-friendly set from Spin Society DJs, room to dance and play, and snacks and drinks available by donation. It is especially suited to families preparing for preschool, kindergarten, or another new school year.

Planning your visit

Enter from Washington Avenue, where a staff member will welcome families, help check strollers or diaper bags, and direct guests to the dance floor. The venue provides:

• Designated stroller parking
• Bathrooms with changing tables
• A quiet nursing area
• A donation-based snack and beverage table

Wear comfortable dance clothes; costumes are welcome but optional. Metered spaces are available along Washington Avenue, with free street parking potentially available on Josephine Baker Boulevard, Samuel Shepard Drive, and North Leonard Avenue. Event questions may be sent to Molly@metroplays.org.
