Cherokee Recreation Center has a gymnasium, indoor pool, boxing and workout room, and craft room at the southwest corner of Benton Park. Historical visitors describe martial arts and swim lessons, ceramics, camps, events, and caring staff for both children and adults.
The City currently says the entire center is closed for maintenance until further notice. That official notice controls planning even though older visitor feedback describes active programs.
