Minki Bai’s one-person play introduces Fred Ohr, who became the first and only Korean American flying ace. Music, interview material and the storytelling style of American tall tales illuminate Ohr’s immigrant-family experience, his persistence in the face of racial prejudice and his service as a World War II pilot.

This second performance is included with museum admission and free for members. Because the story addresses combat and discrimination, it is a better fit for older children than preschoolers.
