For the North American Japanese Garden Association’s Gardens for Peace program, families can create peace-inspired patterns with water on reusable water-writing calligraphy scrolls.
The temporary marks make this a low-pressure way for children to experiment with brush movement and calligraphic forms while reflecting on peace in a garden setting.
