Hear student and youth ensembles from across Northern California at Summer Fest's free, family-friendly indoor community stage. Saturday's published lineup begins at noon and includes the Monterey Jazz Regional All-Star Vocal Ensemble, Monterey Jazz Regional All-Star Band, Jazz Education Ensemble, SJZ High School All Stars, and a youth-focused Next Gen Jazz Jam.
The jam invites musicians age 21 and younger to bring an instrument and sign up for a slot; families may also simply listen. The air-conditioned venue provides theater seating, with food and drinks available for purchase. Museum galleries are open free of charge during the weekend.
