2026 San José Poetry Festival: Small Press Fair & Open Mic

Browse books and publications from independent presses and writers from across California, hear an open mic, and explore Poetry Center San José’s Markham House headquarters. Participating tables include Swan Scythe Press, El Martillo Press, Thinking Ink Press, Caesura, La Raíz Magazine and several individual writers.

Visitors who want to read a poem during the open mic can sign up in person. The fair concludes as the festival’s Poets of Poetry Slam performance begins. Admission is free.
