2026 San José Poetry Festival: SCC Youth Poet Laureate Commencement and Reading

The county’s incoming Youth Poet Laureate and the 2026 finalists are introduced during this outdoor Poetry Festival reading beneath the oak tree in front of Markham House. The program also features outgoing Youth Poet Laureate Kurn Sundaram and Vice Youth Poet Laureate Layla Krishnan reading poems before passing the role to the next honoree.

This youth-centered literary event is free and open to the public.
