This drop-in family day combines art making, mahjong, music, and guided gallery experiences. Several activities begin at 10 a.m., before the listing’s official start, and the published program continues through 4 p.m.
Schedule highlights
- All day: Learn or play mahjong from 10:30 a.m.–4 p.m. Drop-in art activities and Sip & Sketch tea tasting and drawing run from 10 a.m.–4 p.m.
- Monthly Makers: From 1:30–2:30 p.m., storyboard artist Brandon Moon teaches families to make pencil-and-sticky-note flip books, building a simple 2D animation one frame at a time.
- Live music: Malina Mei performs on the guzheng, a traditional Chinese zither, at 2 p.m.
- Tours: Explore Chiharu Shiota: Two Home Countries at 11 a.m. or 1 p.m.; join What’s the Tea: An Exploration of Tea Cultures Across Asia at 1 or 3:30 p.m.; or take a collection tour at 2:30 p.m.
