Folklórico

El Espíritu Bailarín presents folklórico as a celebration of Mexico’s regional cultures, combining music, intricate footwork, vivid costumes, and traditions shaped by Indigenous, Spanish, and African influences. The ensemble is led by multidisciplinary performance artist, educator, and cultural bearer Pablo Daniel Jimenez Garcia.

Each performance is followed by a short participatory dance tutorial with Maestro Pablo, giving children and adults a chance to try some of the movement themselves. Lightweight portable stools are available for audience seating.

The program is included with museum admission. A separate surcharge and timed ticket are required only for the special Matisse exhibition.
