Golden Gate Park
Experienced birders from Golden Gate Bird Alliance lead a walk through the garden's more than 8,000 plant varieties in search of the birds that feed, nest, and shelter there. Beginners are welcome, and binoculars are suggested.
Registration opens one week before the walk, on Sunday at 8 a.m. The community program is free, though garden admission may apply to visitors who do not qualify for free entry. Heavy rain cancels.
