Families navigating special education can meet the Up to SPED team, connect with one another, and begin the school year with practical information and peer support. Light snacks will be provided in a casual, all-ages social setting.
The nonprofit’s work includes explaining educational rights and the special-education process, helping families build advocacy skills, offering workshops and resources, and making referrals to related services. Parents, caregivers, children, and anyone interested in the organization are welcome. Free parking is available.
