Trail Tykes: A Program for Little Explorers

Designed for toddlers and preschoolers, Trail Tykes combines a read-aloud story with singing, movement, a nature-inspired craft or activity, or a short guided walk near the Visitor Center. The program introduces young children to nature through relaxed, age-appropriate participation with their families.

Meet in the Visitor Center lobby. The group normally proceeds to the outdoor amphitheater, but activities may remain indoors during excessive heat or rain. Capacity is limited to 30 children; reserve only for children age 2 or older and cancel if plans change so another family can attend.

The program is free. An optional $5 donation per family helps the Mission Trails Regional Park Foundation continue offering it.
