State Park interpreters introduce children to Old Town’s cultural resources through a free, hands-on Junior Ranger session. This month’s activity explores Morse code: participants can complete a telegraph circuit, learn how the coded system was used, and compare telegraph communication with modern texting.
Children can earn a stamp for their Junior Ranger logbook and take home a souvenir. Self-guided Junior Ranger booklets are also available from the Robinson-Rose Visitor Information Center.
Programs are subject to staffing changes or cancellation. Families can call the visitor center at 619-220-5422 for a same-day update. Free park lots permit parking for up to four hours, with EV charging available in Lot B.
