Children ages 3–12 can investigate Hemisfair's architecture and hidden historic details during a kid-focused scavenger race. The activity introduces young participants to San Antonio history and cultural heritage through active exploration.

Check-in opens at 8 a.m. at Central Games Plaza, and the race begins at 8:30 a.m. Each registered child receives a race packet containing a passport and buff. The $5 child registration also includes a finisher's medal and entry in a door-prize drawing; winners must be present.

Before you go

  • An adult guardian must remain with each racer throughout the activity.
  • Registration is limited.
  • Several paid parking lots surround Hemisfair; the organizer recommends checking Hemisfair's visitor information for parking, directions, and public-transit options.
  • Families may stay in the park afterward. Yanaguana Garden has a splash pad, and Paleteria San Antonio is scheduled to open at 11 a.m.
