Workshop registration includes museum and festival admission. Museum members save 20% on workshop registrations.

  • 12:30 p.m. — Small Bug Sculpture and Terrarium: Build a miniature insect sculpture and install it in a terrarium filled with locally sourced dried plants. Register for the sculpture workshop.
  • 2:30 p.m. — Beetle Boutique: Make iridescent earrings from genuine jewel-beetle wing cases; no previous jewelry-making experience is required. Register for Beetle Boutique.

Planning your visit

The general festival is included with museum admission. The museum's adjacent parking involves an uphill approach, though ramps accommodate strollers and wheelchairs and a turnaround is available for passenger drop-off. NHMU also provides accessible entrances, loaner wheelchairs, sensory and light-management aids, and a Level 2 infant-care room. Note that the museum reports no Sunday UTA bus service directly to the venue; consult its directions and transportation guide and accessibility resources.
