Urban Biking & Scooting 101 — July In-Person Class

This free City class offers an introduction or refresher for people who bicycle or scoot on Sacramento streets. It is a practical fit for older children who ride with their families, as well as teens and adults.

Topics covered

• Bicycle and scooter laws
• Riding safely on streets and through intersections
• Avoiding crashes
• Building confidence and enjoying the ride

No bicycle or scooter is needed for the classroom session, and participants receive City bicycle swag. The course also fulfills Sacramento’s Sidewalk Bicycling Diversion Program requirements, although it may not satisfy an e-bike ticket-diversion program.
