What campers will make

Robin Gunning leads a week of hands-on ceramics covering foundational hand-building, safe tool use, and colorful underglaze decoration. The final two days introduce wheel throwing and provide time to practice. Verge will fire the finished pieces and notify families when they are ready to collect.

Daily logistics

Camp meets Monday through Friday. Drop-off begins after 9:30 a.m., and pickup runs from 3:00–3:30 p.m. Staff remain on site during those windows. Snacks and water are supplied, but campers should bring a cold lunch and water bottle. The noon–1 p.m. lunch break uses Verge’s outdoor space, where games and toys are available. Phones and other electronic devices must remain stored in campers’ bags; parents who need to reach a child can call Verge.

Registration and policies

Sibling discounts are applied automatically, and full or partial scholarships may be available to qualifying Sacramento-area students through the education staff. The camp overview labels this session sold out, while the linked registration page displays limited availability, so families should rely on the live registration status. If Verge cancels, registrants may transfer or receive a full refund. Participant withdrawals at least seven days before camp receive a refund minus a $25 fee; later withdrawals have more limited refund or transfer options, and none are offered within 24 hours of the start.
