Playhouse and Playdough

Families begin with imaginative moving-image art, then translate what they see into clay characters, props, or settings. Colorful sets, puppetry, animation, and fantasy storytelling become prompts for hands-on experimentation, personal expression, and collaboration between children and caregivers.

Featured short film

This session uses the 1973 puppet animation Peter und der Wolf, a 15-minute, dialogue-free adaptation of Sergei Prokofiev’s Peter and the Wolf. Different orchestral instruments represent the story’s characters, helping children distinguish sounds across the orchestra.
