Crocker Art Camp: Comedy, Creativity, and Hands-On Fun

Five-day camp

Campers unpack how humor works in cartoons and comics, examining the way pictures and words combine to create funny stories. Art in the galleries provides inspiration as participants script, design, and bring their own characters to life.

The week combines daily gallery visits, behind-the-scenes Museum access, individual and collaborative projects, and instruction from Crocker educators and local teaching artists. With an 8:1 camper-to-facilitator ratio, children make art directly alongside instructors and explore varied media and techniques. The camp emphasizes creative process, includes activities in the studios and outdoor spaces, and culminates in an art show.

All supplies and a cotton Crocker Kid T-shirt are included. Optional extended care runs from 4–5 PM and costs $100 for the complete session; it cannot be purchased by the day. Space is limited and advance registration is required.
