Children ages 7–12 explore Capitol Park through hands-on activities about its plants, animals and urban ecosystem. Three program themes introduce map-and-compass navigation, identification of California redwoods and oaks, and the benefits city parks provide through clean air, shade and habitat.
First-time participants receive a Junior Ranger logbook and badge, then earn stamps for completed programs. Admission is free, but online registration is required.
