Old Sacramento
Young children can build an interest in reading through an interactive railroad-themed story inside the museum. Staff or volunteers share a different book each month and follow it with a related activity; occasional sessions feature community guest readers.
The program is designed especially for imaginative children ages 2–5 and is included with regular museum admission. Families may continue exploring the museum’s toy trains, full-size locomotives, and other exhibits afterward.
