Summer Oasis is a five-day Access Leisure day camp for children with disabilities. Campers spend the week playing games, making art and taking part in creative, active and social experiences with peers. The schedule also includes swim days and a special visit from Music To Grow On, an inclusive music-therapy provider.

Before camp

Every participant must attend one of the program’s open houses at Southside Clubhouse, scheduled for May 11 or June 30 from 5:30–7:30 p.m. The visit is intended to familiarize campers with the space, staff and program setup.

After registration, parents or guardians receive a follow-up email concerning support needs and accommodations. Families can request a program modification through the participant welcome form; the City recommends allowing about 10 days for case-by-case consideration. The registration listing currently marks the camp full.

This camp is scholarship eligible. Families can review the City’s recreation scholarship programs, including the Access Leisure Fun Pass for qualifying Sacramento residents with disabilities.
