The Flying Squirrels host the Erie SeaWolves and honor the Richmond 34, the Virginia Union University students arrested during a 1960 sit-in. Pregame activities include appearances by members of the Richmond 34 and the artists behind CarMax Park’s memorial, plus presentation of two student scholarships. Game-worn, Negro League-inspired jerseys will be auctioned for the scholarship fund, and fireworks follow the game.
Gates open at 5:30 p.m. CarMax Park includes an inclusive playground for ages 2–12, adjacent family lawn seating and a private nursing suite with a changing area.
