Learn how Carytown’s businesses, residents and public spaces have supported Richmond’s LGBTQ+ community since the 1970s. Tour participants receive a same-day discount at the vintage store Bygones.
The route is generally one to two miles. Advance tickets are required; children attend free. Wear comfortable shoes, carry water and contact the Valentine ahead of time for accommodations. The tour runs rain or shine unless extreme conditions require cancellation.
