Explore everyday culture in Revolutionary-era Virginia through talks covering food, drink, clothing, and folklore. Featured historians include Nicole Brown, Leni Sorensen, Sarah Meacham, and Lynn Rainville.

Families can also visit Envisioning Revolution: Virginians in Action, an exhibition that uses art to illuminate the lives of Virginians represented in legislative petitions from 1776 through 1786. The featured pieces were created by students in Old Dominion University’s Department of Art.

This Culturescape Saturdays program connects art, culture, history, and community and forms part of the Library’s commemoration of Virginia’s role in the 250th anniversary of American independence. Limited free parking is available beneath the Library.
