America’s Founding Story: Church Hill Neighborhood Walking Tour

Explore Church Hill’s Revolutionary history, including St. John’s Church, Patrick Henry’s famous speech and Benedict Arnold’s raid on Richmond. The walk also considers the neighborhood’s parks, preservation work, restaurants and modern community life.

The route is generally one to two miles. Advance tickets are required; children attend free. Wear comfortable shoes, bring water and request accommodations in advance. Tours run rain or shine unless extreme weather forces cancellation.
