Certified Environmental Educator Courtney Rousseau introduces purple martin biology and history, the conservation pressures affecting the species and practical ways people can attract and manage a colony. The presentation also covers community projects and ways to support local martin conservation.
Rousseau is president and co-founder of the North Carolina Purple Martin Society and has worked with colony sites, Raleigh banding events and new martin landlords since 2008. This is a walk-up talk with time to engage with the expert.
