In 1962 Baltimore, teenager Tracy Turnblad dreams of dancing on the popular Corny Collins television show. After earning her chance in the spotlight, she confronts the reigning teen queen, pursues a budding romance, and uses her newfound influence to challenge racial segregation at the network.

This family-friendly musical comedy combines energetic songs, dancing, romance, and a story about inclusion. The stage production features the Tony Award-winning score by Marc Shaiman and Scott Wittman and a book by Mark O’Donnell and Thomas Meehan, based on the John Waters film.
