Great Southeast Pollinator Census

Gather real pollinator data by picking up a tally sheet, choosing a flowering plant and counting landings by bees, butterflies, flies, wasps and other insects for 15 minutes. Garden “hot spots” can help families find active areas.

Counting is self-guided throughout open hours; volunteers offer guidance from 10:00 a.m. to noon. Bring a watch or phone timer. No insects need to be touched. Children in second grade and above may submit the standard tally, while younger children receive a simplified sheet. Registration and admission are not required.
