Musician and scholar Dom Flemons combines live music, film, storytelling, and history to celebrate Black cowboys and Black roots music.
The first act pairs songs from his Grammy-nominated Black Cowboys album with scenes from the groundbreaking 1939 movie The Bronze Buckaroo. The second traces a century of Black folk, blues, country, and bluegrass traditions through historical context, personal stories, and music from Traveling Wildfire.
