This free, fully bilingual Spanish-English festival brings science, Hispanic heritage and community culture together across both downtown museum buildings. Families can meet scientists, encounter animals from Central and South America and enjoy traditional music, storytelling, art and dance.

Hands-on highlights

  • STEM building challenges with Marbles Kids Museum, magnetic experiments, chemical engineering and disease-diagnosis activities
  • Robotics, 3D printing, satellite imaging and digital design in the VisLab
  • Artmaking, masks and costumes, pixel art with LEGO bricks and work by Latin artists
  • Bird identification, North Carolina reptiles and amphibians, Latin American prehistory, exoplanets and cassava-disease imaging
  • Animal Lotería, science books and learning kits, plus family resources from Wake County organizations and the Mexican Consulate

The event is open to all and includes activities for young children, school-age learners, caregivers and curious adults.
