Rising sixth- through eighth-graders explore horticulture and agriculture through hands-on STEM projects, experiments, recipes and field trips. Activities may include solar ovens, hydroponics and beehives, plus visits with farmers, scientists and researchers.
This is one day of a five-day camp limited to 20 participants. Campers bring lunch and snacks; field-trip transportation is included. Drop-off starts at 8:00 a.m. at the Visitor Center brick circle. Camp runs rain or shine, with plans adjusted for heat, air quality or other weather. The session is full, but a waitlist is available.
