Budding Explorers: Insect Investigation

Children become junior entomologists as they compare insects and bugs, build an insect model and search the gardens for insects in their natural habitats. The program also introduces ecoEXPLORE, a community-science program offering badges and prizes; no existing account is needed.

An adult must accompany each child. The group meets at the Visitor Center and moves to the Education Yurt. Dress for a partly outdoor program; activities move inside during poor weather. Advance paid registration is required. Cancellations are accepted until 72 hours beforehand, subject to a 15% fee.
