Budding Explorers: Butterfly Detectives

Children distinguish butterflies from moths, practice identifying common species and search for butterflies in the gardens. The session also introduces ecoEXPLORE, a community-science program offering badges and prizes; no account is needed.

An adult accompanies each child. The group starts at the Visitor Center and moves to the Education Yurt. Dress for a partly outdoor program; poor weather moves activities inside. Advance paid registration is required. Cancellations are accepted until 72 hours beforehand with a 15% fee.
