Renaissance Ballet Collective opens its first summer season with a program of classical story ballets. The performance combines the comic village-and-cavalry mischief of Cavalry Halt, the wit and Venetian carnival traditions of Harlequinade, and the fantastical folklore of Walpurgisnacht.
The company was founded to preserve dramatic classical ballet while making its storytelling accessible to audiences of varied ages and levels of dance experience.
