Directions

Route

  1. From the trailhead, stay on the paved path past the pavilion and under the Thurman Street Bridge.
  2. Continue beside Balch Creek, cross the wooden bridge, and turn around at the semicircular stone-wall bump-out before the pavement ends.
  3. Return to the trailhead on the same paved path.

Good to know

The path narrows to about 5 feet near the end. Turn around before the pavement changes to packed dirt: beyond that lip the official profile records uneven obstacles, abrupt edges, and grades of 16–20%. Restrooms, water, a covered pavilion, and limited parking are at the trailhead.
